My World Stood Still Today

Our Little Hummingbird

We thought it could be the flu.

Called the doctor and they wanted to see her right away.

Doctor said it was serious and she needed to go to hospital right away.

At that moment the world stood still, nothing else matters. The work, the phone calls, the appointments just don’t matter.

It’s always sad when an infant is sick, she is only 8 months old and she is our “little hummingbird”.

There was an intestinal blockage but  it was not intussusception was first suspected.

Still waiting for test results. Praying that all will be fine.

Random me:  Needed to post this for myself. I fall apart inside during a crisis.

  1. Praying for the best possible outcome. I think you did a good thing writing about this.

    • Thanks for your prayer. I silently worry about IBD, since it is in my family.

  2. Donna, how else would we know what to pray for? Honored to do it! Everything will be okay!

    • Thanks for the prayer David. I appreciate the comment and concern. Today will be a better day.

  3. IBD in your family? Didn’t know this.

    • Yes, mother had Crohns which lead to an ileostomy and lots of complications. Very painful unpleasant disease as you know all to well.

  4. you poor thing – take yourself to Disney for your B-day and you’ll feel better 🙂 loooooooooove you so much you are the bestest best amazing grams and mom anyone could hope for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is up and happy this morning (except when she sees a nurse) and wants to GO HOME!

  5. Praying profusely!
We were getting breathing treatments in urgent care on New Year’s Day, when Calvin was 3.5mos. You feel bad enough with sick kids, let alone infants, who are so dependent and unable to communicate.
I hope things are ok for her!

    • Thanks so much Craig. Carly is home, still under the weather, but hoping to improve daily.
